Boston Red Sox Vs Baltimore Orioles 28 April live streaming online baseball radio commentry. Game Review: The Baltimore Orioles' starters have quieted the Boston Red Sox over the last two games.
The reverse could easily happen with Jon Lester on the mound for Boston.
Baltimore (10-12) has taken the first two games of this series behind strong starts from rookie Zach Britton and veteran Jeremy Guthrie, who have combined to limit Boston (10-13) to one run in 12 innings.
The Orioles haven't won their first three meetings of a season with the Red Sox since taking the first four in 1967. If their history against Lester (2-1, 2.59 ERA) continues, they'll be hard-pressed to change that.
Lester is 13-0 with a 2.33 ERA over 16 career starts against Baltimore -- his highest win total versus any opponent, and the most wins without a loss by any active major league pitcher against any single club.
Lester went 0-1 with a 3.72 ERA in his first three outings of 2011, but has won his last two by limiting the opposition to one run over 12 innings while striking out 13.
The left-hander allowed four hits and struck out eight over six scoreless innings of Friday's 4-3 victory at the Los Angeles Angels.
"I felt all right," Lester told the Red Sox's official website. "Early on, I had good fastball command. That kind of got away from me a bit. I nitpicked a bit. There were a lot of deep counts, a lot of foul balls. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go real deep in the game, but I just had to grind it out."
Lester has thrown 13 consecutive scoreless innings over his last two road outings.
First baseman Adrian Gonzalez, who hit at least 30 homers in each of his last four seasons with San Diego, has just one in his first 23 games with Boston, but his bat could be heating up. He went 2 for 4 with a run scored and an RBI on Wednesday, and is 6 for 13 with three doubles and three RBIs in his last three games.
Baltimore starter Brad Bergesen (0-3, 5.40) looks for his first win in five tries. The right-hander gave up season worsts of six runs and eight hits in six innings of Saturday's 15-3 loss to the New York Yankees.
Bergesen has allowed three earned runs or fewer in five of his six career starts against the Red Sox.
The reverse could easily happen with Jon Lester on the mound for Boston.
7:05 PM ET, April 28, 2011Lester looks to improve to 14-0 lifetime against the Orioles and help the Red Sox avoid a three-game sweep at Camden Yards on Thursday night.

Red Sox"We've taken our licks. We know what it's like to lose, get our butts beat and get buried. It's not fun," said Luke Scott, who homered along with fellow Baltimore outfielder Adam Jones in Wednesday's 5-4 victory. "But at the same time, through the adversity we've learned to play hard, regardless of the circumstances. It's carrying over to now, where we've gotten better as a team."
