Los Angeles Angels right-hander Ervin Santana has not enjoyed that type of success against the Indians during his career.
After throwing a perfect inning of relief and earning the victory in Saturday's 6-5, 14-inning win over Toronto, Angels right-hander Dan Haren struck out eight and walked two in a one-hitter in Tuesday's 2-0 victory over the AL Central leaders, who averaged 5.4 runs while winning their previous eight.
It was Cleveland's longest surge since a 10-game run Aug. 17-27, 2008.

"Haren was on his game. He was in complete command of the ballgame from inning one," said Indians manager Manny Acta.
Santana (0-1, 3.68 ERA) has not been nearly as effective against Cleveland, going 0-6 with a 5.14 ERA in nine starts.
The right-hander could benefit from more run support in the series finale than he received in Friday's 3-2 loss to Toronto. Santana retired the first 13 batters and did not allow a hit until the fifth, but the Angels could not score in their final six at-bats.
Los Angeles, 28th in the majors last season with 3.9 runs per game at home, is averaging 2.6 runs on its current stretch in Anaheim.
"You expect us to score a lot of runs, but I just worry about my own thing," Santana said Friday after striking out seven and surrendering six hits in eight innings.
Santana might be concerned about giving up more home runs after surrendering a solo shot to Jayson Nix with two outs in the eighth inning Friday. Santana allowed a career-high 27 homers in 2010 -- fifth-most in the AL.
The Angels (6-5), winners of five of seven, would like to see newcomer Vernon Wells start to hit the ball with some power after being replaced by Reggie Willits on Tuesday. Wells is batting .091 (4 for 44) with two RBIs and will play Wednesday.
"He just needed to let a little air out and will be back in the lineup tomorrow," manager Mike Scioscia told the Angels' official website prior to Tuesday's victory. "He is fine."
Wells will get his first look at Carlos Carrasco (1-1, 5.68), who will try to continue the Indians' brilliant run of starting pitching.
Cleveland's starters are 6-1 with a 1.65 ERA in the last nine games after Fausto Carmona held the Angels to four hits and two runs -- solo homers by Peter Bourjos and Mark Trumbo -- over 7 2/3 innings Tuesday.
Carrasco struck out six and threw six innings of four-hit ball in Friday's 12-3 win at Seattle.
"Carrasco basically set the tone for us. He threw some zeros out there and gave us an opportunity to come up in the fourth inning and do what we did," said Acta, whose team is off to its best start since opening 11-1 in 2002.
Indians shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera, the AL co-player of the week, has one hit in seven at-bats in the series and is 1 for 13 versus Santana.
Cleveland will try to win its first two road series for the first time in nine seasons.
