Game Review: Thanks in part to Troy Tulowitzki's hitting at Citi Field and the team's success in close games, the Colorado Rockies have notched the best start in franchise history.
Colorado (8-2) has won eight of nine, posting two four-game winning streaks in that stretch -- the most recent continuing with Wednesday's 5-4 win over the Mets (4-7).
The Rockies, who had never won eight of their first 10, have won each of their last three games by a one-run margin. Tulowitzki has made a big difference in that stretch by going 6 for 10 with two doubles, two homers, six RBIs and four walks.

"Last year we weren't very good in one-run games and we've won a couple this year," the shortstop said. "We're a good team. We believe that."
Tulowitzki is also a huge reason Colorado has the best record in the majors, ranking among the league leaders with five homers and 12 RBIs while batting .306.
He's been outstanding in his last nine games at Citi Field, going 15 for 32 (.469) with three homers and nine RBIs while posting an .875 slugging percentage. Colorado, which won 7-6 there Monday, has a chance to win a third straight in Queens for the first time since 1994.
"Big stage, you know?" Tulowitzki said Wednesday. "They were all over me by my third at-bat. That's fun. And you know, I think also ... obviously you want to play well here for the All-Star votes. Things like that, the fans remember that. They're good baseball people."
Tulowitzki and the Rockies may be in for a tougher test at the plate when they face knuckleballer R.A. Dickey (1-1, 2.45 ERA) for the first time in the opener of this twinbill.
Dickey, though, is trying to rebound from a shaky outing. He battled through a split nail Friday while allowing three runs with five walks in five innings of a 6-2 loss to Washington.
Dickey will take the mound after manager Terry Collins held a closed-door meeting with the Mets to make his expectations clear for a team that has dropped six of seven, including three in a row.
"It's time to start making pitches. It's time to start getting the big two-out hit," said Collins. "We've been in every game and we've got to start winning 'em."
Rockies right-hander Greg Reynolds will oppose Dickey as he gets another start in place of injured ace Ubaldo Jimenez (thumb).
Reynolds (0-0, 3.00) has been a disappointment since being drafted second overall in 2006, going 2-8 with an 8.13 ERA in 14 games -- 13 starts -- in 2008 before shoulder and elbow problems slowed him down the last two years.
The right-hander, however, showed promise Saturday at Pittsburgh, yielding two runs and three hits in six innings of the Rockies' 6-4 win.
Colorado's Jorge De La Rosa (1-0, 1.74) will try to shake off a nagging blister on his middle finger when he takes the mound in the second game of the doubleheader.
The injury has forced him to leave his first two starts of the season. The left-hander gave up two runs and two hits in five innings of Friday's 4-3, 14-inning loss at Pittsburgh.
De La Rosa is 3-1 with a 3.26 ERA over his last four games -- three starts -- versus the Mets.
Chris Capuano (1-0, 6.75) starts opposite De La Rosa, looking to build on Saturday's 8-4 victory over Washington. The left-hander allowed four runs and seven hits with eight strikeouts in six innings.
He's 4-3 with a 2.98 ERA in nine career outings versus the Rockies, although he hasn't started against them since 2007. Tulowitzki has a hit in all three at-bats against Capuano, including a homer.
RockiesTulowitzki will try to continue his surge at the pitcher-friendly stadium as the Rockies cap a four-game series against the New York Mets with a doubleheader Thursday.
