New York Mets vs Philadelphia Phillies live streaming major league baseball video show online broadcast radio commentary ESPN 360 gamecast feed April 6, 2011 Last year, the New York Mets needed two weeks and 11 games to post four victories. New York (3-1) didn't reach four victories last season until April 17, and few thought the club would be any better in 2011. So far, though, the Mets have defied all expectations.

New York has won three in a row -- all on the road -- while outscoring opponents 22-7 and batting .296. Perhaps most surprising has been the rotation, which has posted a 1.47 ERA to upstage the Phillies' heralded group of Cliff Lee, Roy Halladay, Roy Oswalt and Cole Hamels.
"I've said that I think we can play with anybody, but it will take all 25 guys," Mets manager Terry Collins said.
New York got to Hamels early Tuesday, chasing him with a six-run third inning en route to a 7-1 win. David Wright led the way with a career high-tying four hits and two RBIs, and Phillies manager Charlie Manuel feels the Mets' 13 hits could be a sign of things to come.
"I hear some people talk about the Mets," Manuel told Philadelphia's official website. "The Mets have a pretty good lineup, really. They've got some players. I hear people talk about how many games they're going to lose. Let me tell you something: They've got good players. Look at their lineup. They've got some speed. They've got some power.
"We've got to beat them. We've got to play hard against them. They're more than a second-division team, I'm telling you."
Wright has gone 7 for 13 with one homer and four RBIs over the last three games. He has a .327 average with five homers and 14 RBIs in his past 13 games at Philadelphia (3-1).
Mike Pelfrey will try to match the rotation's lofty early standards and improve his performance on the road. The right-hander wasn't able to do either Friday, lasting 4 1/3 innings and allowing five runs and four hits, including a grand slam, while walking four in a season-opening 6-2 defeat at Florida.
Pelfrey has gone 1-6 with a 6.57 ERA over his last 10 road starts. He's been even worse in his last five games at Philadelphia, going 1-2 with an 8.17 ERA while allowing seven homers.
He was lifted after four innings in his only game there last season, surrendering six runs in a 10-0 loss May 1.
Joe Blanton (9-6, 4.82) will oppose Pelfrey. While the right-hander didn't get the press his rotation mates did during the offseason, he won his last six decisions of 2010, compiling a 3.42 ERA in that 14-game span.
Blanton may be in perfect position to carry that momentum into 2011, as he's 3-0 with a 1.27 ERA in four home starts versus the Mets.
Ryan Howard is looking to resume his hot streak after going 0 for 4 with three strikeouts Tuesday. The first baseman had gone 7 for 13 with one homer and six RBIs over the first three games.
Howard, though, has struggled somewhat in his last 12 home games versus the Mets, batting .227 with two homers and four RBIs.
