Los Angeles Angels vs Seattle Mariners american league baseball review and authentic live streaming links with radio commentry espn 360 gamecast May 18, 2011 TBS. Jered Weaver's season has been one defined by streaks, from the stunning six-game opening run that had him looking like the AL Cy Young Award frontrunner to a three-game skid that's proved he's much more hittable.
The Seattle Mariners have a pretty good idea which Weaver they're more likely to see.

Weaver (6-3, 2.26 ERA) set the bar high by going 6-0 with a 0.99 ERA through six practically flawless outings, but he's been downright ordinary in his past three starts.
He's lasted six innings while losing each of those, and the long ball got the best of him Friday in Texas. After allowing only two homers in his first 58 innings, Weaver gave up a pair of solo shots to the Rangers -- and four runs total -- while falling 4-1.
"The last three starts, the stuff's been up," Weaver said. "I don't know if it's a matter of maybe it's a little bit of a dead arm or whatnot. But I feel good, the velocity's still there."
He's had everything he's wanted and then some recently against the Mariners (17-24). Weaver is 4-0 with a 1.05 ERA in his last six starts versus Seattle -- all wins by the Angels (22-21) -- and he's allowed only 26 hits over 42 2/3 innings.
Keeping Ichiro Suzuki off base has certainly helped. Seattle's leadoff hitter has just four singles in 21 at-bats (.190) and a walk off Weaver since 2009.
The Mariners have been worse than anyone at creating offense lately, with a major league low .199 average over their last eight games. They mustered just three singles and a pair of walks Tuesday against Minnesota, wasting Felix Hernandez's strong outing in a 2-1 loss that was their seventh in eight games.
That, however, was still more offense than the Angels produced Tuesday. Los Angeles had two singles in Oakland, though a poor night at the plate was hardly the only concern after a 14-0 loss that dropped Mike Scioscia's club to 1-5 in its last six.
"This was one of our worst games of the season," right fielder Torii Hunter said. "We just couldn't do nothing."
The Angels will try to bounce back against Weaver's former Long Beach State teammate Jason Vargas (2-2, 3.86), but the left-hander is 2-0 with a 1.90 ERA in his last three starts.
He didn't get a decision in his best outing yet, however. Vargas needed only 101 pitches to get through nine scoreless innings in Baltimore on Thursday, but no runs came across until the 12th in Seattle's 2-1 loss.
"He's really stringing them together now," manager Eric Wedge told the Mariners' official website of Vargas. "He commanded the ballgame, (he) really did a great job mixing all his pitches. His command was outstanding."
The Angels might be getting him in the right location. Vargas is 1-0 with a 1.99 ERA in three road starts, but 1-2 with a 5.34 ERA in five outings at Safeco Field.
Vargas, who has never started opposite Weaver, is 2-2 with a 2.18 ERA in six starts against the Angels.
