PITCHING MATCHUP: Royals RH Andy Sonnanstine (0-0, 2.19) vs. Indians RH Josh Tomlin (4-1, 2.43). Sonnanstine is making his seventh appearance and first start of the season. He is replacing Jeff Niemann, who is on the disabled list with a sore back. Sonnanstine has a 9.51 ERA against Cleveland in eight career appearances and has problems with Jack Hannahan, who is 4-for-10 with two home runs against him. Tomlin is coming off his first loss of the season against Oakland, thanks to two solo homers by David DeJesus. FINAL PITCH: Tampa Bay center fielder B.J. Upton appealed his two-game suspension from Major League Baseball last week so he could play at Camden Yards. That turned out to be a good idea since he was 7- for-14 with eight RBIs in the series. Upton could sit out one or both games of the suspension against the Indians.
