With Tuesday night's game-time temperatures expected to be almost as high, the Cubs will take all the help they can get in their matchup against Cliff Lee.
8:05 PM ET, July 19, 2011Entering this series a season-worst 20 games below .500, the Cubs (39-58) snapped a three-game skid to the NL East-leading Phillies (59-36) with Monday's 6-1 victory at Wrigley Field.

Halladay, who tossed two perfect innings while starting for the NL in last week's All-Star game, lasted just four-plus innings, giving up three runs and seven hits. The club said that heat issues -- the game-time temperature was 91 degrees -- forced Halladay to leave in what was his shortest start since June 12, 2009, while with Toronto.
"You have to have the All-Star game, I understand that, but guys who go to the All-Star game come back a little drawn," Phillies pitching coach Rich Dubee said.
That could be bad news for Lee (9-6, 2.82 ERA), who will take the ball after surrendering the only run in the NL's 5-1 victory.
The 2008 AL Cy Young winner will be making his first start since going eight strong innings in a 4-1, 11-inning loss to Atlanta on July 9. In 30 career starts with six or more days' rest, Lee is just 10-9 with a 3.90 ERA.
The left-hander, though, is 4-0 with a 1.59 ERA in five starts against the Cubs after throwing eight innings in a 7-1 home win June 11.
Repeating that effort could be a challenge with Aramis Ramirez and Carlos Pena swinging the bats well.
Ramirez, who said Monday he would void any potential trade the Cubs bring to him, is batting .358 with a major league-best 12 homers and 25 RBIs since June 25 after going deep against Halladay on Monday.
Ramirez is 1 for 6 with a homer off Lee.
Pena, who went 3 for 3 with his team-leading 20th homer in the series opener, is just 6 for 32 against Lee, but three of those hits left the park.
Eleven of his homers have come in his last 29 games.
Matt Garza (4-7, 3.97) would appreciate continued production from the Cubs' corner infielders after he was denied a victory in his last outing. The right-hander fanned six in seven scoreless innings Thursday against Florida, but Carlos Marmol blew his seventh save in a 6-3 loss.
"You can get upset all you want. It's not going to fix anything," Garza told the Cubs' official website. "It is what it is. You just keep going."
Facing the Phillies for the first time in a Cubs uniform, Garza yielded two runs -- one earned -- and five hits over six innings of the June 11 loss.
Jimmy Rollins, hitless in seven at-bats against Garza, is 21 for 54 with two homers and eight RBIs in his last 12 games after hitting a solo shot Monday.
Ryan Howard, whose 18-game hitting streak at Wrigley Field ended in the series opener, is 0 for 5 against Garza.
Phillies center fielder Shane Victorino (sprained right thumb) is expected to be activated from the disabled list Tuesday. He scored six runs and went 6 for 15 as Philadelphia won three of four against Chicago from June 9-12.
