Florida, which took two of three at Houston to open this nine-game trip, has not won a series at Turner Field since Sept. 28-30, 2009, going 2-7 there last year.
Morrison is batting .360 while hitting in six consecutive games.
Teammate Hanley Ramirez went 1 for 3 with an RBI on Wednesday, but the All-Star shortstop is 1 for 7 in the series after missing the previous two games with a leg injury. He's batting .194 this season.
Florida's Ricky Nolasco (1-0, 2.40 ERA) will have a tough act to follow after Johnson's gem, but the right-hander has not allowed more than two runs or walked a batter in either of his two starts.
Nolasco gave up two runs in eight innings of a 4-3 win at Houston on Friday.
"When we get good pitching, those are the games we have to win," manager Edwin Rodriguez said.
Though Nolasco has won two of his last three starts in Atlanta, he was roughed up for six runs and seven hits in two innings of the Marlins' 12-3 loss at Turner Field in his last start there Aug. 28.
Chipper Jones is 13 for 28 (.464) with four doubles and four homers off Nolasco.
The Atlanta star hit his first homer of the season Wednesday to join Eddie Murray and Mickey Mantle as the only switch-hitters to record 1,500 career RBIs. Jones, who has a team-leading nine RBIs, achieved his second significant career milestone on the homestand after he reached 2,500 hits Friday.
"I can walk away from the park (Wednesday) knowing I've been productive for a long time," Jones said.
Atlanta (5-7), however, is 2/3 on its opening homestand and has dropped six of eight overall.
Brandon Beachy (0-1, 3.75) will try again for his first major league victory when he faces the Marlins for the first time in the series finale.
After giving up a run in six innings at Milwaukee in his 2011 debut, the right-hander allowed four runs and seven hits in six-plus innings of a 10-2 loss to Philadelphia on Saturday.
"There really isn't any reason to be happy," Beachy told the Braves' official website.
Rookie Freddie Freeman broke up Johnson's no-hit bid with a double. Though the highly touted first baseman is batting .205, he has a six-game hitting streak.
The Marlins look to accomplish that feat and win their second straight road set Thursday night against the Braves.
MarlinsJosh Johnson took a no-hitter into the eighth inning, Chris Coghlan had three hits with two RBIs and Logan Morrison hit his third homer Wednesday as the Marlins (6-5) snapped a six-game skid at Atlanta with a 5-1 win.
