New York Mets v Washington Nationals live streaming 4/9: The New York Mets' once-promising start has turned sour with an early three-game losing streak. The Washington Nationals hope to continue taking advantage of their struggles.
New York looks to avoid falling to 0-2 at home for the first time in 14 years Saturday when it continues a three-game series with Washington at Citi Field.
The Mets (3-4) have been outscored 27-9 during their skid, including a 6-2 loss Friday against the Nationals to spoil the franchise's 50th home opener. New York hasn't lost its first two home games since dropping its first three in 1997.

"It's funny. You don't often go from such a high to such a low, but that's the nature of the game that we play," said starting pitcher R.A. Dickey, who lasted five innings, and issued five of the Mets' nine walks. "Nobody in here is hitting the panic button. We're going to stay focused."
Mets starting pitchers have failed to finish six innings in four straight games and they've posted a 6.15 ERA this season.
Ike Davis had a sacrifice fly and pinch-hitter Lucas Duda added a run-scoring double as New York dropped into a tie with Washington (3-4) for last in the NL East.
Nationals starter Jordan Zimmermann gave up both runs and six hits with no walks over 5 1/3 innings, and he opened the scoring with a two-run single in the second. Ivan Rodriguez added a two-run single to snap an 0-for-12 slump to begin the season, helping break the game open in a three-run eighth inning.
"Jordan was good. He battled through a couple little rallies they had and made good pitches," Nationals manager Jim Riggleman said.
Five relievers allowed only one hit and two walks over the final 3 2/3 innings for Washington.
To try and snap the skid, Chris Capuano (0-0, 13.50 ERA) will make his first start as a Met after coming on in relief Sunday in a 9-2 win over Florida. The left-hander allowed one run and three hits in two-thirds of an inning.
A former 18-game winner with Milwaukee, Capuano is 1-2 with a 3.58 ERA in four career starts against the Nationals. His last appearance against them came July 8, 2007 with the Brewers as he allowed seven runs and eight hits in 5 1/3 innings of a 7-2 loss.
Nationals third baseman Ryan Zimmerman, who had two hits Friday, 4 for 7 in his career against Capuano with a home run and two RBIs.
Capuano will be opposed by fellow left-hander Tom Gorzelanny, who is making his Nationals debut.
Gorzelanny went 7-9 with a 4.09 ERA in 29 games, including 23 starts, with the Chicago Cubs last season. He's made nine career appearances against the Mets, but is 1/3 with a 6.00 ERA in five starts.
Davis, New York's first baseman, is 2 for 3 against Gorzelanny.
The Mets batted .255 and the Nationals .253 in 2010 against left-handers to rank 15th and 16th in the National League, respectively.
