The two-time Cy Young Award winner didn't get much help as the Giants committed three errors and didn't score until the ninth.
"It's not something to get too worried about," Lincecum said. "Whether it's opening day or any other time of the rest of the season, games like this are going to happen. So you've just got to iron them out and work through them and hope that we do better next time."
Lincecum has had good success at Petco Park, going 3-1 with a 1.51 ERA his last six starts. He's allowed a run in seven innings in each of his last two at Petco.
San Francisco (1-4) could use another strong performance from its star while hoping to offer more support after falling 3-1 in Tuesday's series opener. Though the Giants scored in the first inning, they went 1 for 8 with runners in scoring position to continue their World Series hangover.
However, players like Lincecum believe the team is not feeling the pressure of being World Series champions.
"(Winning the World Series is) not something we're trying to rest on," Lincecum told the Giants official website. "We're trying to use it as a springboard."
Andres Torres had two hits and Aubrey Huff added an RBI for the Giants, who have averaged 2.5 runs in their losses.
"Right now we are not getting a lot of timely hits," manager Bruce Bochy said. "That's what it's going to take to win games.
"We're not through the first week yet. We're not looking to make any changes yet."
Though Huff has four RBIs, he is batting .211 through five games. He is 1 for 5 against Padres scheduled starter Tim Stauffer, who we will try to win his third consecutive start versus San Francisco.
The right-hander is 3-1 with a 2.32 ERA in five starts against the Giants, and allowed a run and six hits over 12 1/3 innings of his last two versus San Francisco in 2010.
"I think I've figured out a good game plan the last year or two," Stauffer told the Padres' official website.
Starting in place in the injured Mat Latos, Stauffer gave up two runs and nine hits in six innings of the Padres' 5-3, 11-inning season-opening win at St. Louis on Thursday.
A staff that finished second in the majors behind San Francisco with a 3.39 ERA in 2010, San Diego has not yielded more than three runs through four games.
Nick Hundley had three hits and Chris Denorfia added two with an RBI as San Diego (3-1) scored all its runs in the third inning Tuesday to win its home opener after taking two of three in St. Louis.
Hundley is 8 for 15 with four RBIs this season, and 7 for 15 with three doubles his last four games versus San Francisco. He is 4 for 13 against Lincecum.
