Tigers vs Athletics live streaming link 4/16. Game Review: Their worst start in three years behind them, the Detroit Tigers can now focus on moving above .500 for the first time this season. Another solid start by ace Justin Verlander could help them get there.
With Miguel Cabrera hitting a game-tying ninth-inning home run and Brennan Boesch starting a seven-run 10th with a two-run double, the Tigers (7-7) won their fourth in a row Friday, 8-4 over the A's (6-8) to give manager Jim Leyland his 1,500th career victory.
"I wouldn't have gotten this win tonight if I didn't have the players," he said.

The A's continue to struggle at the plate at home -- hitting .232 and averaging 3.0 runs while losing four of five -- and they haven't helped themselves this series with four errors, including three in the 10th inning Friday.
"The defense will be good when it's all said and done," said manager Bob Geren, whose team has a major league-high 16 errors.
Oakland might not have much room for error with Verlander (1-1, 3.13 ERA) avoiding his customary slow start to the season.
Prior to 2011, the right-hander was 7-11 with a 5.02 ERA over 25 starts in April -- his only month with a sub-.500 record.
Verlander went the distance in Monday's 2-0 home loss to Texas, retiring the first 11 batters and allowing just four hits.
"(Verlander) was great," Rangers second baseman Michael Young said. "He's always a handful."
The A's know well what Verlander can do. In his last start in Oakland on May 19, Verlander threw a complete-game four-hitter in a 5-1 Tigers victory.
Dallas Braden (0-1, 4.15), who makes his first home start Saturday for the A's, yielded two runs and six hits over six innings in that matchup with the Tigers -- his first outing in the Bay Area since throwing a perfect game against visiting Tampa Bay on May 9.
The A's left-hander did not allow a hit until the fourth inning of his last start, Monday's 2-1, 10-inning win over the Chicago White Sox. Despite pitching with quad tightness, Braden threw six innings of five-hit, one-run ball.
Braden is 2-4 with a 6.75 ERA in eight career starts against Detroit, losing the last two.
Cabrera is 4 for 12 with two doubles off the Oakland left-hander.
Braden may also face Tigers right fielder Magglio Ordonez, who could return after missing the last four games with tightness in his right Achilles' tendon.
Ordonez is 5 for 16 with two homers off Braden, but only a .197 hitter in 53 games in Oakland.
Leyland may give center fielder Austin Jackson a second straight day out of the starting lineup. Jackson is hitless in his last nine at-bats and 1 for 7 against Braden with three strikeouts.
A's center fielder Coco Crisp, 1 for 9 in this series, has six hits in 15 at-bats versus Verlander.
TigersDetroit looks to extend its longest winning streak of the season to five Saturday night when it also goes for its fifth consecutive victory at the Oakland Athletics.
