"It is quite a remarkable streak that he has," manager Mike Scioscia told the Angels' official website. "He is the real deal. No underestimating what a guy like Dan brings to a rotation and pitching staff. The guy has had a heck of a week."
The only hit Haren allowed Tuesday was Shin-Soo Choo's single in the fourth inning.
"He's not a power pitcher. But he has really good mechanics and good offspeed pitches, too," Choo said.
Haren is 0-1 with a 4.67 ERA in three starts against the White Sox, but has not faced them since pitching for Oakland in 2007.
He'll have a tough act to follow after 21-year-old Tyler Chatwood gave up one run in seven innings for his first career victory in Saturday's 7-2 win over Chicago.
The Angels have a 1.62 ERA during the four-game winning streak.
Hank Conger and Howie Kendrick each homered and had three RBIs as the Angels (9-5) won for the eighth time in 10 games. Los Angeles has not swept the White Sox since Sept. 9-11, 2005 -- the same season it lost the AL championship series to Chicago in five games.
Kendrick homered 10 times last season but already has half that amount in 2011.
Maicer Izturis had three hits for the second straight game to raise his average to .357. He is 14 for 26 with five doubles and six RBIs his last seven games versus the White Sox, and 6 for 14 with a homer against scheduled starter Mark Buehrle (1-0, 4.26).
Buehrle is 2-6 with a 4.27 ERA in 17 starts versus Los Angeles, but is coming off a dominant outing.
The left-hander allowed two hits in eight scoreless innings, but the bullpen and defense could not give Buehrle his 150th career victory by letting a 1-0 lead turn into a 2-1, 10-inning loss to Oakland on Monday.
"Same thing Buehrle always does -- changes speeds, gets ahead," Oakland catcher Kurt Suzuki told the White Sox official website.
Though the White Sox (7-7) rank among the major league leaders with 78 runs, they've totaled nine the last three games.
"Hopefully we start swinging the bat the way we know we can swing the bat," manager Ozzie Guillen said.
Carlos Quentin, who hit his 100th career homer Saturday, is 5 for 32 his last nine games. Paul Konerko hit his fourth of the season for just his second hit in 17 at-bats.
AngelsThe three-time All-Star looks for his third victory in nine days while trying to help the visiting Angels extend their winning streak to five games Sunday against the White Sox, who are trying to avoid a fourth straight defeat.
